The latest release from hubris. is very entertaining and enjoyable, with no dull moment. The Greek mythological ideas are explored in a haunting way through sparingly used samples, creating a mixture of old and new post-rock. Another great album from hubris. who keep impressing me!
Favorite track: Icarus.

Metempsychosis explores the cycle of life and death, but most importantly, as its name suggests, reincarnation and rebirth. All the songs tell a story of the intricacies surrounding pivotal moments in the lives of characters from Greek Mythology – i.e. the main source of
inspiration for our music.
For example, the song Heracles tells the story of the Greek Hero Heracles, also known as Hercules. He was not only given the chance to be born in the first place when Zeus intervened at the trial of Heracles’ mother who had been sentenced to burn at the stake, but was the only mortal who was granted access to Mount Olympus after his death. The
song’s repeating patterns echo Heracles’ own life, as he was constantly tried, most famously by Zeus’ resentful wife Hera. The song is divided into twelve parts alluding to both Heracles’ labours and the different stages of his life, the last two being musical illustrations of his rise to Mount Olympus and his place among the gods until the end of times.
Metempsychosis invites you on a musical journey through the tales of Hepius, Dionysus, Icarus and his father Dedalus, Adonis and Heracles and to refect on how their stories may mirror your own.
We would like to thank our friends, families and anyone that has helped us in any way throughout the making of this album. We do this frst and foremost because music is what keeps us going. It has been our drive since day one and each album is met with new encounters, new difculties and new highs and lows; but above all, each new album brings moments that we will cherish forever. We would like to direct our profound appreciation and deepest love to the unequaled dedication and musical talent of Matthieu Grillet and Lucien Leclerc, who have become an integral part of this project, Ronnie from Wherepostrockdwells for his immeasurable support and assistance, and Jérémie Hohl for, once again, the incredible album artwork.
Last but certainly not least, we extend a huge thank you to all of you guys out there supporting us and enabling us to live our dream one
day at a time. This project could not have been realized without the ongoing support from everyone listed above and we are and will be forever grateful.

I have music from a number of post-rock artists in my collection, but I find myself coming back to this masterpiece time and again. This might be the best post-rock album of all time, superior to even its predecessor. The title is spot on - listening from beginning to end whisked me away on the most vivid journey of the mind I've experienced since Jean-Michel Jarre's "Oxygène 7-13" a quarter-century ago. fair2mindlin
